Diners looking for a thick, gooey slice of pizza fresh out of the oven flock to Pizza Oliva. Regulars rave about the consistency of the crust – by far the most important part of the pie – calling it crunchy but thick enough to support the bountiful toppings laden on it. The sauce is also exceptional, with a great balance of savory and sweet flavors. The menu offers all of the usual options, from a perfect, simple margherita with fresh basil and tomato to a massive “Works” with pepperoni, ham, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms and onions. Vegetarians rave about the “Gourmet Veggie,” which boasts artichoke hearts, spinach, zucchini and olives. There are only a few tables in the restaurant, but most of their business is done either take-out or delivery. You can also get take and bake pizza here if you prefer to use your own oven. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of what you get.
