Lettuce: Don’t Leaf It Behind

January 15, 2013 | sack

If you’re in the mood for a gigantic, healthy salad, Lettuce is the place to go in Walnut Creek. This place does one thing, but they do it exceptionally well. Sourcing their produce from a wide array of local farmers and providers, they serve up bountiful bowls of succulent salads, nearly all of which are priced under ten dollars. If you think a salad isn’t enough to fill you up, think again – these are serious servings. You can either go for a pre-designed salad from the menu or build your own if you need a little more control. Some of the strongest menu items include the Napa, which tops organic spring lettuces with delectable grilled rosemary chicken, toasted sweet walnuts, berries, and a rosemary vinaigrette, as well as the Farmers, a delectable mingling of field greens, roasted Portobello mushrooms, asparagus, beets, edamame, garlic croutons, and more. The décor is sleek and utilitarian and the service is perfectly fine.
