Question for Residents of Vista: When Was the Last Time You Toured the San Jose Museum of Art?
March 25, 2016 | sack
Just one block from the convention center downtown is the San Jose Museum of Art. With three levels of rooms, it is relatively small compared to the other nationally known museums in Chicago, San Francisco, and San Diego. However, the museum features several nice, airy rooms that are well-suited for the facility’s collections. The main floor mainly showcases permanent exhibits while the basement and second floor host traveling shows.
A book shop and a cafe are available for visitors near the front of the museum, and the staff are knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions visitors may have. There are several children’s activities as well including “Toy Stories,” where children can draw cards of their favorite toys. From exhibits about consumer products to Greek and Roman art, the San Jose Museum of Art can offer a little piece of artistic culture to anyone who walks through its doors.
