April 4, 2016 | sack
The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum houses the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts on exhibit in western North America. With more than 4,000 artifacts, this museum attracts young and old alike. Throughout the museum, visitors will learn about ancient burial practices, afterlife theories, and—of course—Egypt's famous mummies.
Learn about Egypt's thousands of gods and goddesses throughout the museum's numerous religious exhibits, including the specific meanings behind each figure. Kings and pharaohs also take center stage in this museum, and visitors will learn about their roles in society and throughout history.
Be sure to check online before heading to the museum to find out showtimes, and learn about special events that may be of interest to you or your child, such as the junior archaeologist program. While admission to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum is always reasonable, there are also discounts for children and seniors.
