Attend the Summertime “Shakespeare in the Park” at Willow Street Frank Bramhall Park

When the Bay Area seems dominated by the tech industry, it can be a nice change of pace to visit a place that is designed solely to facilitate good old-fashioned family fun in the fresh air. Spanning almost twenty acres in the Willow Glen section of San Jose, Willow Street Frank Bramhall Park includes playground facilities, basketball and tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields and picnic areas for people of all ages to enjoy.
The newly refurbished “Tot Lot” playground designed for kids between 2 and 5 includes swings, slides, and a smooth rubber surface that protects kids from bumps and bruises, and doesn’t cause a mess in your car like sand or mulch. During the summer, the park hosts special movie nights, Shakespeare in the Park, and other cultural events that bring the whole neighborhood together. Planning an event of your own? Four separate pavilions with barbecue areas, seating for up to 80, and grilling prep areas can be reserved for a reasonable fee.
