The San Jose Municipal Rose Garden spans 5.5 acres of green space, standing in stark contrast to the urban aesthetic of the city. It's a welcome haven for San Jose residents, but it wasn't always the stunning garden that you see today; originally, this space was actually a prune orchard!

The thousands of guests who visit the garden today agree that the current setup is a much better use of the space. The San Jose Municipal Rose Garden plays host to more than 3,500 blooms, a mix of nearly 200 different types of roses. No matter the time of year, there's always something flourishing in the garden. The garden boasts new rose varieties, including hybridized roses, that are entirely unique in both sight and scent. Come to the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden the next time you need to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
