There are a number of events going on this 4th of July than the Bay Area!

  • If you’re in the East Bay, check out 4th of July at Berkeley Marina for free family fun in an alcohol-free environment. Activities include the Adventure Playground, where kids can zip line, splash around in the sun, and build sand castles, live entertainment by the Afro Cuban Drumming Circle and free Dragon Boat Rides. If all the fun is making you hungry, there will be food stalls and food trucks around the marina with something for every palate. The night will end with a beautiful fireworks display.
  • In the North Bay, stop by the Sausalito 4th of July Festivities. Start the day off with the 4th of July Parade, then enjoy a picnic in Dunphy Park with live music, tug of war, an egg toss, and food by the Sausalito Rotary Club and Galilee Harbor. End your night with live music in Gabrielson Park and a fireworks extravaganza.
  • In the Peninsula, there will be a 4th of July Celebration at Leo Ryan Park. The day will be filled with games, food, entertainment, a family and dog parade, and a grandiose fireworks display.
  • Over in San Francisco, spend your day at Pier 39. Catch live music by several of the Bay Area’s most beloved cover bands. Afterwards, the City and County of San Francisco will put on a spectacular and unforgettable fireworks display.
  • At the South Bay, go back in time at Wilder Ranch State Park and experience an old-fashioned Independence Day celebration. Dress in an early 1900’s costume and enjoy live music, living history demonstrations, historic speeches, and flag raising.
