Add that to the owner’s passion for handmade ice cream, and it is no wonder that this independent dessert shop has gained such a large following. Chai tea, coffee, cucumber sorbet and honey lavender are just a few of the specialty flavors handcrafted at Mission City Creamery, and even better, the retro-style venue is large enough that diners can sit on cherry-red stools to watch their ice cream creations happen. If you're looking for something savory, you'll also find hot sandwiches and fries made with your choice of bread, cheese and spreads, as well as extras like macaroni and cheese for a full meal.
