Want to learn more about this unique place? Every month, there’s an open house, where you can tour the facilities, talk to brew masters and distillers, and learn more about how beer and bourbon is made. There are also scheduled group tours, or you can book a private tour for you and your friends. Want to learn more? Come to a beer labeling and bottling session, where lunch is provided! A Majestic Texas Landmark to Explore: Enchanted Rock State Natural Area

There are few things that can make a human being feel small like the majestic creations of Mother Nature. The insanely long process of time and pressure required to create some of our nation’s geological masterpieces is humbling to say the least. One of Texas’s most lovely landmarks is Enchanted Rock, an enormous dome of pink granite that rises from the Llano Uplift. Humans have been visiting this rock for over eleven thousand years, and the Native Americans believed it had mystical properties. Now designated a state historic landmark, the dome and the parkland around it have become a popular destination for lovers of the outdoors. Enchanted Rock is a great place for hiking and backpacking, with a number of trails leading up to the summit, where a spectacular view awaits you. The one downside is that there can be a gigantic wait on busy days to be let into the park, so bring a book or something to do to pass the time.
