What began as a humble barbecue joint by Milwaukee native Steve Sazama—AKA "Saz"—exploded into a multifaceted culinary empire, complete with catering, festival, and retail branches. However, Steve Sazama knows that Saz's State House Restaurant near Wimmer Communities is the business that started it all, which is why he and his team invite customers to celebrate the eatery's birthday all year long.

Every Thursday from now through the end of the year, you can listen to live music while you dine at Saz's. Various local musicians will take the stage between 6 and 10 p.m., which is also the window for snagging a raffle prize or an old-school cocktail, crafted by one of the restaurant's beloved former bartenders, when you go to the Round Bar. You can also enjoy special food and drink prices—two full-rack baby back ribs dinners (complete with side) will only cost you $40 if you dine in Monday through Thursday!
