Returning July 14 to Cathedral Square Park: Bastille Days, One of the Country’s Largest French-Themed Festivals!
July 12, 2016 | wimmer
Ooh la la! Milwaukee's Cathedral Square Park will echo the sights, sounds, and smells of France during Bastille Days! Returning for its 35th year on Thursday, July 14, this four-day-long festival—which is known to attract 250,000 people every year—celebrates French culture with live music and dance performances, cooking demos, wine tastings, impromptu street performers, kids' activities, and, of course, plenty of food!
Picture yourself on the streets of Paris and you choose between baguettes and escargots, croquettes and Croque Monsieur. Treat yourself to a beignet or crepe, then pause for a photo in front of the festival's 43-foot-tall replica of the Eiffel Tower, which, just the real thing, is set aglow with flickering lights every hour! Don't miss it!
