Wisconsin’s Favorite Summer Tradition, the Wisconsin State Fair, Returns Aug. 4-14!
August 2, 2016 | wimmer
Equal parts light and fluffy, creamy and sweet, the Original Cream Puff is the signature treat of the annual Wisconsin State Fair. And get this: More than 50,000 puffs are sold per day at the fair, with more than 400,000 puffs enjoyed by fairgoers in 2015!
But the cream puffs aren't the only reason to attend the Wisconsin State Fair. The 11-day-long event, which returns for its 2016 season on Aug. 4, offers a lively mix of entertainment, music, food, rides, and shopping, all with a Wisconsin flair. Competitions and contests are also on the agenda, in everything from livestock, dog tricks, and beer brewing to jalapeno-eating! Of course, food is the real highlight of the fair, and you'll find more than 200 vendors selling deep-fried cheese curds, crepes, burgers, and countless foods-on-a-stick. Come hungry!
