September 6, 2016 | wimmer

With Labor Day now behind us, that can only mean one thing: It's time for the Indian Summer Festival! Returning for its 30th year in 2016, this annual festival takes place during the weekend following Labor Day. The goal? To preserve and celebrate the cultures and traditions of Native Americans.

This year, event-goers can expect three days of entertainment that spans exhibits of Native American art, a 2-mile walk/run for autism, lacrosse games, and cooking demos to amateur boxing, a doll-making workshop, a marketplace of traditional handicrafts, a parade, and powwow contests. And let's not overlook the food! Arrive hungry to get your fill of fry bread, barbecue, nachos, burgers, and much more!
