Expect lions and tigers and boos! during this year's Halloween Spooktacular at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Held Friday, Oct. 21, and Saturday, Oct. 22, this family-friendly event combines the excitement of the zoo's world-class exhibits with everyone's favorite candy-filled holiday, Halloween!

The young and young at heart are invited to don their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat at the various candy stations set up at exhibits across the zoo (don't forget to say “trick-or-treat!”). A costume parade is on the agenda for 2 p.m. on Saturday, and the event also promises live music, a light show, and a haystack maze.

Zoo admission is discounted during the Halloween Spooktacular: $9 for adults and $7 for kids 3-12. Children 2 and under are admitted free! Parking is $12.
