‘Tis the Season for the Annual Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival

December 5, 2016 | wimmer

A beloved annual tradition in Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival is in full swing! This special holiday event, which returned for its 18th season on Nov. 16, illuminates downtown Milwaukee in more than 500,000 twinkling lights for a six-week span.

The event dazzles in other ways, too. The Jingle Bus, for example, offers riders a 40-minute tour of the city's famous landmarks and most spectacular holiday displays (keep your eyes and ears peeled for the 18-piece animatronic symphony outside Shops of Grand Avenue!). Before hopping aboard the bus, drop off your wish list at Santa's Mailbox in Cathedral Square. Santa promises to respond to each and every letter! And keep your eyes on the Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival's events calendar for events like Cocoa with the Clauses, taking place this Saturday, Dec. 10. Don't forget your camera!
