This Sunday at the Milwaukee County Zoo: The 37th Running of the Samson Stomp & Romp

If you made a resolution to get more exercise in 2017, we have a suggestion: Sign up for the Samson Stomp & Romp! Back for its 37th year, this 5K takes place at the MIlwaukee County Zoo on Jan. 15 in honor of Samson, the zoo's famous silverback gorilla who lived from 1950-1981. Four different races make up the Sansom Stomp & Romp: a timed 5K, a 2-mile fun run/walk, a 1-mile mini romp for kids, and a quarter-mile mini romp for kids. All races lead participants around the zoo's public walkways.
Online registration is now closed, but you can register on race day for $30. Proceeds from the race benefit the zoo! Be sure to bring your old cell phones for recycling!
