Want to get your weekend off on lively start? Head to the Milwaukee St. Patrick's Day Parade! Back for its 51st year, this beloved tradition takes to the streets of Milwaukee every year to celebrate the culture and traditions of the Emerald Isle! In 2017, the parade will step off from Third Street and Wisconsin Avenue at noon on Saturday, March 11. Claim your spot along the parade route to watch more than 140 floats and units pass by, from bagpipers and marching bands to Irish and Celtic organizations.

After the parade, head over to the Shamrock Club of Wisconsin's Post Parade Party, held from 1-6 p.m. This family-friendly event promises an array of Irish entertainment, including Irish dance troupes, live Celtic rock music, and "leprechaun stories" for the kids. Admission to the party is $5 for people 5 and up ($15 max per family).
