Rock ‘n Sole Run: Pound the Pavement in Pursuit of a Free Beer and Live Music on June 10

June 8, 2017 | wimmer

No matter where you're at as an athlete, the Rock 'n Sole Run has a race route that will work for you. For novice runners, there's a 5K. Athletes who want to push themselves a bit beyond their comfort zone can register for the quarter marathon, a 6.5-mile route that requires a certain measure of endurance. The half marathon, however, is the true test of strength. This 13.1-mile race isn't for the inexperienced athlete.

Regardless of which race you choose, make sure you're at Henry Maier Festival Park at 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 10th. That's when quarter- and half-marathoners start running, with 5K participants not far behind. Once you cross the finish line, you're plunged right into Summerfest, the cost of which is included in your race registration. So enjoy the live music happening all day long (including along all three race routes) and grab a complimentary beer to commemorate your accomplishment.
