Whereas most musical festivals have only popped up in recent years, Summerfest has been happening for the past 50 along the banks of Lake Michigan. And in honor of its 50th birthday, the long-running music fest is luring in some huge talents. This year, headliners include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Luke Bryan, The Chainsmokers, Pink, and Paul Simon—and they're just the tip of the iceberg. From June 28th to July 9th, tons of other bands take over the main and peripheral stages.

And there's more to enjoy than just the music. Summerfest also promises fresh food and drink from vendors such as Anderon's Roasted Corn, Milwaukee Ice Cream Company, and Sil's Mini Donuts. Bring the kids along to partake in some of the family-friendly activities, like paddle-boating around the lagoon, riding the enormous Ferris Wheel, and even playing with remote-controlled robots. Ticket prices vary based on the day and the shows you wish to attend.
