This Summer, Explore the Culinary Scene of Milwaukee with a Historic Third Ward Walking Food Tour

June 2, 2016 | wimmer

Did you know that The Blues Brothers was filmed in the Historic Third Ward? This is just one of the fun facts that you'll learn during a Historic Third Ward Walking Food Tour! Presented by Milwaukee Food & City Tours, these 2.5-hour-long walking tours explore the rich culinary scene of Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward, with little-known facts about the neighborhood thrown in for good measure.

During each tour, foodies are lead to four to six of the district's best restaurants, where they're met with samples of the eatery's cuisine. (Be sure to arrive hungry, and expect to depart with a full stomach!) What's more, of-age tour participants are served a five-ounce sample of Wisconsin-brewed beer (youngsters can sip lemonade or water). All of this takes place as the tour guide provides info about the area's history, architecture, and culture.

Thinking about joining in the fun? Tickets to the Historic Third Ward Walking Food Tour can be purchased online, and tours are held Mondays through Thursdays.
