Expect Four Weekends of German Food and Festivities During Oktoberfest Milwaukee!

September 7, 2016 | wimmer

Have you ever tried bienenstich? Also known as "bee sting cake," this traditional German dessert sandwiches creamy vanilla custard between a sweet yeast dough and tops it all off with caramelized almonds. It's just one of the delicacies that'll be served during Oktoberfest, returning to Milwaukee's Bavarian Bierhaus this weekend!

Before you chow down on bienenstich, you can sample other German fare favorites, including bratwurst, broiled chicken, rollbraten, potato salad, pretzels, and, of course, beer! Then, stroll around the event's grounds to shop for German handicrafts, dance along to German brass bands, take part in some Schuhplatter folk dancing, and much more!
