Hummingbird Tea Room and Bakery is a delightful spot to take a break from the hustle and bustle and bask in a serene setting with a cup of tea and a homemade scone. Tea is available either in bulk by the pound, or to drink there by the cup or pot.

Their myriad teas includes Organic Earl Grey, Bombay Chai, Organic Lopsang Souchong, White Lotus, Marrakesh Mint, Orchid Oolong, and Chamomile Citrus. They also have organic brewed coffee and espresso drinks. In addition to yummy Scones, Cookies and Muffins, they have breakfast offerings like Omelets, Stuffed Croissants, Waffles and Sausage Rolls. The lunch menu features a Turkberry Sandwich with roasted turkey, Swiss cheese & cranberry sauce, and a Brie Baguette with brie cheese, tomato, fig preserves, tomato, cucumber & basil.

Hummingbird Tea Room and Bakery is open Monday through Saturday.

Stop by in the a.m. to get your day started with an Old Fashioned Waffle served with whipped cinnamon butter, Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes, Biscuit & Gravy, or a Three Egg Omelet. If you love mazes and other types of tricky logic problems, logic mazes will take your hobby to the next level. These advanced mazes, sometimes called "mazes with rules," have special rules that extend far beyond simply navigating around a two-dimensional maze. In a logic maze, the participant must abide by the rules in order to reach the finish line, and they sometimes even include multiple states of the maze or the navigator.

Here are a few of the most common logic mazes.

  1. Area mazes. These are mazes in which the area of tile traveled must alternately increase and decrease with each step.
  2. Rolling dice mazes. A die is rolled with each turn based on a number of different rules.
  3. Number mazes. A grid of numbers is traveled by moving the number of spaces shown in the current square.
  4. Multi-state mazes. The rules in this type of maze change depending on the person's navigation.

Bear Branch Park: A Day of Play for the Whole Family

Atsumi Asian Kitchen Sushi Bar: For When You’re Craving Sushi and General Tso’s

When residents of The Woodlands can’t choose between Chinese food and sushi, they can head to Atsumi Asian Kitchen Sushi Bar, an Asian Fusion restaurant where they can have both. Chef Henry Zhu focuses his extensive sushi selection on the freshest fish available, so the sushi menu may change. At any given time, you may choose from close to 100 different kinds of sushi and sashimi, including rolls stuffed with snow crab, fresh water eel, or spicy crawfish.

Chef Zhu also crafts a number of Chinese cuisine entrees, including such house specialties as yellow curry chicken, fried tofu, or jumbo shrimp with walnuts in a spicy honey sauce. Each dish is served with white rice or, for and extra dollar, brown or fried rice.

You can enjoy your Asian fusion meal seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. The restaurant also offers free delivery within a three-mile radius.

Wimberly Valley wines are sold in better stores around the area, but the winery itself makes a great spot for a trip away from Avana Grogan’s Mill.

It should come as no surprise that Yucatan is best known for its tacos, but many customers also highly recommend the nachos. They come five different ways, with toppings like garlic beef, tequila-lime chicken, and pork. The crunchy chips, medley of gooey cheeses, and blend of veggies on top remain the same no matter which variety you order. Munch on the nachos while you warm up for a plate of tempura fish tacos or a spicy aged chorizo burrito.
