While the name "bar cart" calls to mind shakers and cocktail stirrers, there are a number of other ways to use the classic bar cart in your home. From the bathroom to the bedroom and even the office, here are five great places that could benefit from a bar cart.
- A small bathroom. What's a renter to do with all of those face creams and cotton balls? Add a compact bar cart with a few baskets, bins, and cups for storing these smaller items, or even stack fresh towels and washcloths if you're lacking a linen closet.
- The bedroom. Instead of the traditional nightstand, add a bar cart next to the bed. You can use it to stack books, place an alarm clock, and even store some fresh flowers.
- The kitchen. Forgo the bar cart and think in terms of a coffee cart. Place your espresso machine, French press, or other coffee maker of choice on top, and then store other coffee supplies and mugs underneath.
- The home office. If you're lacking storage in your home office, use a bar cart to store your essential office supplies. From your computer's printer to extra pens, paper, and hole punches, you can use the cart to move your supplies close by when you need them and roll them away when you don't.
- The spare bedroom. If you frequently host guests in your home, use a bar cart in the spare bedroom to provide fresh linens, bottles of water, toiletries and other essentials.
