Rise and shine. It's Monday and a great day to Live Shaw!!!!!

Want to view the the Cherry Blossoms but want to beat the crowd's at the Tidal Basin try these spots that have the Cherry Blossom's but less the crowd.
The National Arboretum -Visitors can explore 76 varieties of cherry trees in the research and display collections. Pack your bike and a picnic, as this 446-acre park is great for both.
Meadowlark Botanical Gardens- This Northern Virginia park is full of walking trails, lakes, and more than 20 varieties of cherry trees. The trees in this 95-acre park bloom a little later than those at the Tidal Basin.
Anacostia Park- Don’t forget there are cherry trees blooming along the Anacostia River, too. Head to Anacostia Park where you’ll find 1,200 acres spanning the river shoreline and dozens of cherry trees. There are trails, boat launches, picnic areas, a swimming pool, and Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens to keep you busy.

Happy Wednesday Jefferson Marketplace! It's a beautiful Spring day today! 🙂

Room 11 in DC’s Columbia Heights neighborhood offers creative small plates and a great atmosphere for an intimate evening out. Dishes are made with quality ingredients and crafted by experienced chefs. Their small portion is perfect for when you want delicious food without feeling stuffed. It’s a great place to go with a few friends and enjoy a quiet meal. The menu rotates seasonally, but regulars recommend risotto and seafood dishes. Leave room for the goat cheese cheesecake that is a menu mainstay and topped with seasonal fruits and jam. The bar is known for its unique cocktails; try the Half Smoke, a vodka based drink with citrus and spice flavors. Room 11 has friendly staff that are happy to explain the menu or describe the wine. The interior space is quite small, but in nice weather, a large patio makes for great people watching.

Get turned on to a tasty place with a 60’s vibe at Coffy Café. Located on 14th Street just off Park Road, Coffy Café is a coffee shop and so much more. It’s hard not to like the ambiance, with furniture right out of the 1960’s. It’s really cool and really comfortable! Get a good cup of coffee or tea and a tasty crepe for breakfast, lunch or dessert. The place is decorated to promote conversation, so it’s a perfect spot to just hang out with friends. But that’s not all – Coffy Café is also the place to go for interesting events like open mic poetry, local art shows and community get togethers.
