NBC4’s Health and Fitness Expo

The NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo is held each January in Washington DC. The Health Fair provides free health screenings, fun activities and information on products and services that relate to healthy living. There is a Healthy Cooking Stage, a Healthy Kids Stage and a variety of workout presentations. Fort Dupont Ice Arena: Hit the Ice

The Fort Dupont Ice Arena is the only indoor ice skating rink in the city of Washington, and a place for cool fun, all the time. Operated by an all volunteer organization and located on the grounds of the Kimball Playground, the Fort Dupont Ice Rink is the perfect place for kids and families.

Sure there’s free skating, but there are also great structured activities for kids during non-school hours like Kids on Ice, a program that provides free lessons and provides equipment.
