Meridian Pint is a popular bar in Columbia Heights with a mission of environmental sustainability. They serve exclusively American draft beers, to cut down on shipping and recycling impact, a large portion of their decor and furniture is from recycled and re-purposed materials, they purchase green energy, and food items are seasonal and locally sourced. Meridian Pint takes pride in serving craft whiskey and beer, including many local DC brews, making it a great place for beer aficionados. Their menu features American pub favorites and is vegetarian/vegan friendly. You can build your own burger, or choose from one of their signature styles, like the "monstrosity" with braised short rib, caramelized onions and mac and cheese. You can choose an all natural beef burger, chicken breast, or the house-made lentil barley burger. There is always a fun atmosphere at Meridian Pint, especially in the lower level that has more of a pub feel with dim lighting and billiard tables.
