Downtown Newark Food and Brew Festival 2017: Sample the Area’s Best Brews
July 11, 2017 | greystar
Otter Creek Brewing Co. Sixpoint Brewery. Two Roads Brewing Company. These are just a handful of the microbreweries that will be on hand for the Downtown Newark Food and Brew Festival 2017. The fest gathers the best beers by breweries from Delaware, Pennsylvania, and beyond and doles them out via local restaurants and bars.
Some of the venues participating in the fest this year include Iron Hill Brewing Company, Del Pez Mexican Gastropub, and Grain Craft Bar and Kitchen. You don't pay a fee up front to participate in beer tastings but rather pay as you go (about $1 or $2 per tasting) while you venture from eatery to eatery. The restaurants also feature food specials to complement the brews. Be one of the first 2,000 guests to show up at any of the participating eateries, and you'll receive a souvenir tasting mug to take with you around town. There will also be live music to bring an added element of fun to the Newark Food and Brew Festival, slated for Saturday, July 22nd from noon to 7 p.m.
