Captain Benny’s: Deer Park Seafood

Captain Benny’s has been selling fresh shrimp and oysters in the area near Plaza at San Jacinto since 1969. Go there to get your fill of fresh seafood in a family-friendly setting!

Settle in with an icy cold beer and an appetizer like Oysters on the Half Shell, Popcorn Shrimp, Stuffed Jalapenos, Boiled Shrimp in the Shell, or Shrimp Diablos – shrimp & jalapenos wrapped in bacon. Po-Boys and sandwiches are on the menu, as are fried fish baskets. Choose the Captain’s Platter and you get a mega-meal with fried shrimp, scallops, catfish, stuffed crab, hush puppies, coleslaw, fries and garlic toast. Broiled Whole Flounder, Fried Scallops, Broiled Shrimp Kabob, Whole Catfish and Fried Oysters are also on the menu at this Deer Park seafood spot.

Guidry’s Cruisin’ Cajun Catfish: Cajun Seafood

Guidry's crawfish – aka mudbugs – are boiled with corn on the cob and potatoes and are hot and spicy, just the way you like them. Boiled mushrooms and sausage can be added, if you like. Fish Place and Seafood Café: A La Porte Restaurant

La Porte's Fish Place and Seafood Café is the go-to place for a tasty seafood meal with a Cajun twist at reasonable prices. All you can eat catfish and chicken tenders are part of the deal here. You can also settle in with bowl of Gumbo, a thick Creole stew with shrimp, crawfish, and sausage. Also on the menu are Oysters, Scallops, Shrimp, Redfish, Catfish, Salmon, and Mahi Mahi. Crawfish Etouffe is another Louisiana-style dish offered at this friendly eatery.
