Steak is a Texas tradition, with the state’s massive cattle ranches feeding diners at numerous restaurants. And one of the prime places in Webster to get a perfectly-seared cut of meat is Saltgrass Steakhouse. This is an old-school eatery in the best way, with a menu that hasn’t evolved in decades. Don't take this a negative though – tradition is key in restaurants like this. The first Saltgrass Steakhouse opened in Houston alongside the Salt Grass Trail, one of the state’s major cattle byways. When you dine here, you’re enjoying Texas history as well as great food.

Of course, the main attraction here is the perfectly-seared steaks – some favorite offerings include the T-Bone, a massive bone-in 17 ounce steak, as well as their signature center cut filet. Everything is seasoned with a proprietary blend of spices and served with soup, salad, and their Shiner Bock beer bread. Service is top of the line and the ambience is classic steakhouse through and through.
