Frontier Restaurant has been serving breakfast, burritos, burgers, and more for over 40 years. Ordering is simple. Just step up to the line when the light turns green. Once your meal is ready your order number will be displayed throughout the store. Just head back up the front to pick up your meal. The tortillas are made before your eyes for an unbelievable taste. Make sure you try the green chile stew! The burritos are very popular coming in a variety of flavors like Carne Adovada, Vegetarian, and Frontier with beef. Hamburgers, sandwiches, steaks, and salads are also available. Soda machines are scattered around the restaurant with over 100 different types of drinks. Even when Frontier is busy the staff is efficient and helpful. Open from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. every day.

Flying Star Cafe  provides diners quality food in a laid back environment. From breakfast to salads to seasonal items, the Flying Star serves up some of the best comfort food in Albuquerque. Starting with its delectable breakfast, Flying Star signatures dishes include breakfast hash with organic red quinoa and sweet potatoes, Spanish frittata with Gazpacho side salad, and brioche French toast. Prepare for a breathtaking view if you take the Sandia Peak Tramway up to the highest point in the Sandia Mountains. At 10,378 feet, you get a gander of an 11,000 square mile panorama, including the surrounding Rio Grande Valley, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the north, some extinct volcano cones to the west, and the vast expanse of desert stretching off into the horizon. It’s the longest passenger tram in the world, at 2.7 miles. At the top, you can walk to different viewing stations, go for a hike, or grab a bite at the restaurant. Admission is $20 for adults, $17 for seniors. Kids’ prices are staggered, ranging from free to $17, depending on their age.
