Coronado Center: A Great Place to Shop and Socialize

Coronado Center mall is one of Albuquerque’s most popular shopping destinations, as shown by the large crowds of shoppers that fill its stores and food court every weekend. Anchored by Kohls, Macy’s, and J.C. Penney, the Coronado Center hosts clothing stores like Forever 21 and Buckle, plus a few specialty stores for things like sporting goods or skincare products.

The small yet well-supplied food court hosts a Panda Express, Paradise Bakery, Cinnabon, and a few other casual eateries. Benches, escalators, and elevators are situated throughout the mall’s corridors to make navigating the mall a bit more convenient, and although the parking gets quite crowded on the weekends, it is usually quite easy to find a space during the weekdays. Overall, Coronado Center is ideal for the occasional shopping trip or weekend hangout.

Throughout the years, the theatre’s stage has played host to luminaries like Gloria Swanson, Tom Mix, and Ginger Rogers. Now the theatre hosts musical performances, stage plays, dance performances, lecture series, and film festivals.
