Betty’s Fish and Chips is more than a restaurant — it’s a Santa Rosa institution. For decades, locals have been flocking to this spot to enjoy deep fried goodness and other seafood favorites. This isn’t a fancy place, but it is fun. Wait until you see the not-so little touches like the whale hanging from the ceiling! You can also take a seat on the upstairs patio. Betty’s is a success because it only makes a few menu items, but they are all done well. Locals like specialties like the chowder bread bowl, but everybody raves about the fresh battered cod, fried crispy and served with a generous serving of fries. The homemade tartar sauce is a big hit, too! The service also gets high marks. And everything is available for takeout.
