Rohnert Park locals know Art Ibleto as the “Pasta King” for his unquestioned mastery of noodles, and one meal at Art’s Place will make you a subject of his kingdom. The chef, who is now in his 80s, has built a restaurant and catering empire around affordable, hearty Italian dishes that dazzle diners, and he shows no sign of slowing down.

The menu at Art’s Place is a medley of Italian favorites like pasta and polenta alongside American diner favorites. Start off with the fried calamari, which are tender and served with a tangy marinara sauce. Don’t miss the fresh focaccia breads made by Art’s brother Angelo, which are used for some of the restaurant’s hearty sandwiches. Brushed with olive oil, the focaccia is extremely flavorful. The burgers also come highly recommended, with hand-formed patties of Angus beef on tasty Kaiser rolls. Regulars also rave about Art’s crispy chicken wings.
