“Into the Woods” at the Green Music Center: A Fairytale Like You’ve Never Heard Before
January 26, 2016 | sack
This version of Little Red Riding Hood is nothing like the one you remember from your childhood. On Feb. 4, the Green Music Center will launch a 10-day showing of Into the Woods, an offbeat version of interwoven fairytales. It stars the Baker and his Wife, who encounter a roster of quirky fairytale characters as they head out to undo a curse cast by a wicked Witch.
This production of Into the Woods will unfold at the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University, just about two miles from Crossbrook. One of the coolest aspects of a show at the Green Music Center is that the theater extends beyond its four walls (well, three, really) out onto a lush green lawn, where you can spread out a picnic blanket and enjoy the show with snacks when the weather is warm. Watch the Green Music Center's list of upcoming shows and make plans to see a performance while relaxing under the stars in the coming months!
