From the outside, Mocha Mama’s Drive-Thru Espresso Bar on Southwest Boulevard looks small — perhaps like an ice cream stand, or one of those little one-hour photo kiosks that you used to find in mall parking lots. But for the Rohnert Park regulars who make this pace part of their daily routine, Mocha Mama’s looms large as a cornerstone of the daily commute.
Founded in 1997 by two sisters, this little coffee shop has earned its share of regulars cup by cup, serving customers seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. The people who line up every morning at the shop’s drive-thru window do so for much more than the drip coffee, however; regulars say that Mocha Mama’s serves sophisticated and carefully crafted espresso drinks, lattes, and teas, as well as an array of tasty muffins, breakfast sandwiches, and more.
