Black Bear Diner Offers Affordable Fare and an Old-Fashioned Feel

The first Black Bear Diner opened in northern California over 20 years ago, and now has almost 100 locations across the United States. The Rohnert Park location maintains the Black Bear commitment to being an “anti-chain,” still operating as if it were a mom-and-pop operation.

Yelp reviewers attest to cozy feel, mentioning the welcoming staff, affordable prices, and friendly atmosphere. Kids especially love the bear sculptures out front, as well as the unique murals painted inside. The menu centers on classic American comfort food, with huge portions of pancakes, chicken fried steak, and house-made apple pies. Located just off the expressway, the Black Bear Diner is also a convenient pit stop for folks commuting to and from work or school, or on a weekend getaway.
