Esther’s Follies: Austin Entertainment

Turn off the TV, get up off the couch and head out for some zany fun at Esther’s Follies. The Follies’ home is located at the historic 280-seat Cactus Theatre on Austin’s vibrant 6th Street. It’s a Texas-style revue featuring a melodious mélange of comedy skits, magic acts and political satire. The stage features two large windows that look out on the action on bustling 6th Street.

Now in its 36th season, this Austin hallmark is a must for anyone who loves creative, cutting edge live entertainment. Master magician Ray Anderson is a favorite for his seamless melding of magic and comedy. The theatre features five shows weekly – one on Thursday and two each on Friday and Saturday. Book your tickets in advance, as it sells out regularly.

Craft Pride: An Austin Destination for Craft Beer

Austin's Craft Pride excels in serving the mighty brew that most of us know and love – beer, that is. If you enjoy a fine beer, this might become one of your favorite spots near Elan East. Craft Pride's wall of 54 taps features beer from over 20 breweries – all of them right here in Texas!

Settle in at the oak bar to order a pint. The rotating list of beers on tap might include Austin Beer Works Peacemaker Extra Pale Ale, Guadalupe Texas Honey Ale, Independence Convict Hill Oatmeal Stout, and Southern Star’s Bombshell Blonde.

Craft Pride also feature a small inventory of wines made in the Lone Star State. No food is served here, but there are food trucks nearby where you can grab a bite to eat. Visit Craft Pride's website to learn more about this Austin destination for beer aficionados!
