Located near the William M. Redd Jr. Park, Pinang prides itself on using classic spices and herbs in order to create distinctive food that will please palates that enjoy the hot and spicy. Come in for lunch or dinner and try a bowl of Seafood Tomyum soup, loaded with shrimp, scallops, squid, and veggies. Go for a casserole of curried fish head, but it is suggested that you ask your server for advice before ordering! There is also an amazing selection of seafood, pork, vegetable, and noodle dishes. But don’t forget the sushi! Fresh rolls of fish and rice as well as a great selection of sashimi dishes are available, either as a platter or a la carte. Over Easy Café: Your Place All Day

Located a couple of blocks south of Olan Thomas Park, the Over Easy Café is a nice place to go for breakfast and brunch. The Over Easy attitude starts when you walk into the warm and comfortable dining room. Relax at one of the tables or have a seat in the lounge. You’ll like the friendly ambiance and the even friendlier service. You’ll find eggs over easy on the breakfast and lunch menu, but there are lots of other morning options available. The self serve coffee/tea bar is also convenient and stocked with lots of k-cup favorites. Come back for lunch and enjoy a nice selection of salads, sandwiches, flatbreads and platters. And dinner is different because there is no menu – there’s something different every day!

In the back dining room, Ali Baba recreates Middle Eastern homes with sofa seating. In the front, however, you're welcome to dine with more traditional American tables and chairs. No matter where you sit, one aspect of your meal remains the same: the fresh Middle Eastern cuisine.

Ali Baba especially earns raves for its different renditions of chicken. The Moroccan chicken comes highly recommended by regular customers, and it comes two ways: with a spicy harisa cumin sauce or lemon and olives. A duo of Moroccan-style salads round out the dish (carrot and green). The dajaj mashwy is another popular chicken dish, a recreation of a typical homemade eat. The chicken marinates and then bakes to golden and juicy, at which point chefs set it atop a bed of rice and drizzle it with garlic sauce. Pick tabouli salad or hummus on the side. Ramen Kumamoto: Gourmet Japanese Fare Awaits

Chef Sam Ho has served as the sous chef at Morimoto and the owner at Zento Japanese Temporary Cuisine, both located in Philadelphia, so he already has plenty of solid culinary experience under his belt. He shows it off at Ramen Kumamoto, a restaurant in Wilmington that dishes out modern Japanese cuisine.

Unsurprisingly, ramen is the main event at Ramen Kumamoto. It comes in a spate of different preparations, like the tonkotsu. This version teems with natural heritage Berkshire Pork, as well as chunks of roast pork, bamboo shoots, sprouts, mushrooms, chopped scallion, red ginger, and a boiled egg. Thin noodles form the base, along with a savory broth. You can also try something with more heat, like the tan tan ramen. This soup features a spicy chicken broth base, augmented by miso sesame paste and ingredients like minced meat, sprouts, and scallion. Yellow wavy noodles stand in for the thin, straight noodles in the tonkotsu.
