For active residents of Hardrock Canyon, St Edwards Park might be one of the best spots in the area for hiking, swimming, and simply exploring all that Mother Nature has to offer. This scenic park is home to a number of different trails that wind their way through the lush green forests, and if you’re new to hiking, they’re even well marked with clear signs so that you can be sure you won’t get lost. The stream is always nearby in St Edwards Park, and it provides a great place to do some wading or casual swimming on a hot summer day. There are also shady picnic areas that make great spots to settle in for a meal outdoors.

With ample parking and a family-friendly atmosphere, there are few better places to spend an afternoon than St Edwards Park.

Sweet-n-Cheezy: More Than Just a Food Truck

If you’re in the mood for a fresh, unique menu that is nothing short of imaginative, consider eating at Sweet-n-Cheezy. What makes Sweet-n-Cheezy interesting is the fact that this family-owned and -operated establishment is actually a food truck that serves everything from shaved ice to cheese-filled sandwiches. Local favorites include the Melted Margarita sandwich and The Gator sandwich, the latter being an unexpected crowd pleaser of havarti cheese, turkey, bacon, avocado, and orange marmalade on multigrain bread.

Since Sweet-n-Cheezy is a food truck, seating at this particular location is relatively minimal. A picnic table is provided for those who wish to eat near the stand, but most guests grab-and-go, enjoying their meals as they continue to their destinations. On the other hand, if you know in advance that you’d like to rest and are worried about the lack of seating, consider bringing your own picnic or lawn chairs.

Don’t let the gas station setting fool you, High Country Market and Cafe offers much more than your ordinary mini-mart setting! At this Round Rock spot you’ll find a great selection of craft beer, wine, gourmet coffee, fresh pastries and tasty deli foods. You’ll also find free Wi-Fi and patio seating.

If you’re hungry, you can settle in with a burger or sandwich. In the a.m., they have Breakfast Tacos with your choice of fillings like egg, ham, chorizo, refried black beans, avocado, sautéed onions, peppers, mushrooms, potatoes and spinach. Burgers and pizzas are also on the menu, complete with a selection of toppings. Sandwiches include BBQ Pulled Pork, Roasted Chicken Salad, a BLT and a Marinated Mushroom Banh Mi.

Just a short trip from Hardrock Canyon, High Country is open every day.

This board is filled with links to videos that will show you the mechanics of drawing landscapes, sketching the details of a person’s lips, and even creating beautiful drawings on a chalkboard.

Fun Is Accessible for Every Child at Play for All Abilities Park

Play for All Abilities Park is arguably one of Round Rock's best parks—and one of the most inclusive. After some serious planning, the community was able to come together to create a play area that is accessible to all children. Under professional guidance, the park was designed to facilitate safe and stimulating play for children of all abilities.

Visitors to the park enjoy the wide variety of play structures, like swings, sand boxes, a miniature town (complete with an HEB grocery!) to explore, and instruments. There are plenty of areas to sit under the shade in hot Texas summers and a fence with only one entrance encloses the entire area for maximum safety. Play for All Abilities Park is open daily, from 6 a.m. to midnight.
