The theater shows releases that are not necessarily new, but if you missed a movie when it was popular or wanted to avoid paying full price for a ticket, this is the place for you!

Inside Cinemark Round Rock Discount Movies 8, the atmosphere is just what you’d expect from a discount movie theater. The seats are comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the place is clean, and food prices fall relatively in line with other theaters in the area. The crowd is typically more casual than fancy, upscale theaters, but for the price of the ticket and the friendly service, this place can’t be beat.

Maverick’s Country Rock: Pull on Your Boots to Boogie the Night Away

Austin is known for its live music venues, but Maverick’s Country Rock shows off the city’s dance moves, as well. If you love to kick up your heels to upbeat country music, Maverick’s spacious dance floor and some of the area’s best DJs will ensure that you have a rocking good time.

The dance floor isn’t just your usual open space, however: Here, a 5,000-square-foot dance floor features state-of-the-art lights and sound and a number of multimedia projectors that work in time with the music. Outside, Maverick’s 3,000-square-foot deck area features lots of outdoor seating and another full bar to service those who wish to enjoy the Texas evening. The bar also makes a fun place to dance the night away.

Maverick’s is open 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Fun Is Accessible for Every Child at Play for All Abilities Park

Play for All Abilities Park is arguably one of Round Rock's best parks—and one of the most inclusive. After some serious planning, the community was able to come together to create a play area that is accessible to all children. Under professional guidance, the park was designed to facilitate safe and stimulating play for children of all abilities.

Visitors to the park enjoy the wide variety of play structures, like swings, sand boxes, a miniature town (complete with an HEB grocery!) to explore, and instruments. There are plenty of areas to sit under the shade in hot Texas summers and a fence with only one entrance encloses the entire area for maximum safety. Play for All Abilities Park is open daily, from 6 a.m. to midnight.

“Hair of the 3-Legged Dog”: An Austin Day Party on March 19

With so many great events coming up next week in Austin, it can be hard to figure out what to attend. So, here's a suggestion: "Hair of the 3-Legged Dog." This event's presented by The Austin Chronicle (and sponsored by Greystar), and it's named after the Chronicle's mascot Hank.

It takes place on Thursday, March 19 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. and brings food, drinks, and fun to The Liberty Bar on East Sixth Street in Austin. Four local artists will play music at the event: Sweet Spirit, Anya, Bop English, and Flesh Lights. There'll also be snacks from Tacodeli, Rhythm Superfoods, Baked By Amy's and more to fuel Austinites for another day of SXSW.

The Yoga Room: A Round Rock Yoga Studio

The Yoga Room is an intimate yoga studio in Round Rock that welcomes everyone to engage in yoga practice. In fact, the studio’s “highly trained and experienced teaching staff offers yoga practice for regular people, regardless of the size, age, or condition of their bodies,” according to The Yoga Room website. Regulars report that this studio successfully cultivates a caring and compassionate community for those interested in starting or expanding their practice.

The Yoga Room hosts more than 40 classes per week, including a beginner’s series for those who are new to yoga. Better still, new students can partake in unlimited yoga for just $10 during their first week. Teachers are reportedly helpful, gentle, and attentive, so don't be shy about signing up for a private session.
