Owners Julie and Danny take pride in serving the community, frequently hosting events within their store. If you're an avid reader, you might be interested in the book trade system offered here. Just bring in your old books to receive store credit buy new ones. Regulars enjoy stopping by to check out the amazing sales, like bags of books for ten dollars.

If you feel like venturing out of the house for some breakfast, consider stopping by Round Rock's own Cafe Java. This cozy neighborhood cafe serves up some mean pancakes and coffee is always fresh, hot, and bottomless. The breakfast platters come with two eggs, crispy hash browns, toast, and your choice of meat: steak, ham, sausage, or corn beef hash.

Although only open for breakfast and brunch on the weekends, during the week Cafe Java stays open until 9 p.m. and is a great place to score a juicy burger or plate of fully loaded beef nachos. Regulars say the hearty homemade soups are some of the best they can find. 

The staff is friendly and quick, but Cafe Java fills up quick during the weekend, so keep that in mind if you stop by for an impromptu breakfast with friends or family.

Located in LaFrontera shopping center is The Original Brooklyn Pie Company, one of Round Rock's favorite places to grab a slice of pizza. Brooklyn Pie Company proudly uses only the best ingredients possible, from the unbleached flour for the crust to the freshly-cut vegetable toppings. Keep in mind that pizzas are cooked fresh in a traditional oven when you're waiting for your order.

Start off with cheese sticks seasoned with garlic and served with marinara or rolls coated with garlic butter. For your meal, pizzas like the Spanish Harlem pie with chorizo and jalapenos, the Cheeseburger Pizza with onion and bacon, and the Shredded Chicken pie with barbecue sauce, can be ordered by the slice or by the pie. Brooklyn Pie Company is a nice spot to stop by for a quick, delicious lunch or to grab dinner with friends and family.
