Meet Your Friends for Tasty Tex-Mex Fare at La Margarita

Right of I-35 is a fabulous Tex-Mex restaurant by the name of La Margarita. Here, fluffy flour tortillas are homemade daily, and the doors open at 7 a.m. if you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast burrito or migas plate. Choose from the lime-marinated chicken salad, a plate of enchiladas stuffed with your choice of meat and sauce, bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp with serrano peppers, or a sizzling fajita plate. Most dishes are served with Mexican rice and traditional refried beans, but there are also vegetarian black beans if you prefer.

Be sure to try one of La Margarita's margaritas. You can enjoy one of the traditional flavors, or be more adventurous and opt for the mango or strawberry varieties. La Margarita is a nice spot to grab a drink and dinner with friends or family after work. On Tuesdays, kids eat free!

Step up to flavor at the Sizzle Indian Grill. Located in Round Rock, Sizzle brings the tastes of India to Texas. This is a casual spot but still has an ambiance with an Indian flair. It’s very comfortable! But don’t wait for a server – just walk up to the counter and order. You’ll like the menu that’s filled with traditional Indian specialties, many of which make use of the traditional bread Naan (get the popular Naanwich). Kids also like the Naan pizza! There are also a lot of spicy dishes here, like the Lamb Vindaloo. Vegetarians can also find something good. But be ready to wait – everything is made to order so it takes a little longer. Catering is also available.

Mom’s Café: Just Like Mom Used to Make

Mom’s Café might be hard to find, but it’s easy to like. Located in a shopping center in-between a bar and storage garages, Mom’s Café brags about its "home cooking” and backs up the claim. It’s not fancy, but if you want a comfortable spot where classic comfort food is the star, Mom’s Café is the place for you! This is a breakfast and lunch spot that is so friendly you’ll probably meet “Mom” when you come in. The ambiance is clean and simple, and the gingham tablecloths are a nice touch. Order a coffee, and the refills keep coming while you enjoy a breakfast and lunch menu that features classic American food (get the flapjacks for breakfast or the popular chicken and dumplings). It might not be home, but its pretty close!

Turn Up The Fun Factor at HomeField Grill
