Tilden Regional Park: The Great Outdoors, Right in Berkeley

December 2, 2014 | sack

Referred to as the “jewel of the system” by the East Bay Regional Park District, Berkeley's Tilden Regional Park offers visitors breathtaking views, trails to walk, a carousel for the children, and a great escape within a city. The 2,079 acres provide a lush environment for wildlife to thrive while showcasing the beauty of nature. Other activities to enjoy within the park include a petting zoo, a steam train, and a botanical garden.

You can also set up shop to picnic or enjoy some time using the barbecue grills for a cookout. This might be the perfect oasis to get away from the city. It isn’t too far away from Lafayette Oaks, but might feel like a million miles away because of how serene and disconnected it is from the busy city.

Check out Tilden Regional Park's website to find out more about this popular Bay Area park.
