Sip a Foamy Latte at Peet’s Coffee & Tea in Lafayette
April 7, 2015 | sack
The Peet's brand has come a long way since its inception in 1966. That was when founder Alfred Peet opened his first Peet's cafe, which occupied a small corner location in Berkely, Ca. Nowadays, there are Peet's cafes scattered all across the country, and you're likely to encounter the brand's expertly roasted beans on grocery store shelves nationwide.
The reason for the brand's popularity? "An unrelenting commitment to quality," states the Peet's website. That may be true, but regulars of Peet's Lafayette cafe are more likely to point toward the coffee drinks themselves. Espressos are full-bodied and never bitter, regulars say, while lattes are rich, creamy, and arrive with a flourish in the foam. Light breakfast and lunch fare (parfaits, panini, salads) is on offer, as well, so feel free to enjoy a leisurely repast on Peet's cozy back patio.
Peet’s Coffee & Tea in Lafayette is open 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays, and 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays. Free Wi-Fi is offered.
