If you have an interest in rock climbing, take your fitness to new heights at Indian Rock Park. Situated in a residential area, the rock’s peak is a quintessential Berkeley photo-op—try having a friend stand at the bottom while you peek over the top. You can choose to climb the rocks on your own or utilize the manmade rock staircase to reach the top.
The view of the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge only adds to the rock climbing experience. Other park features include a picnic area with barbecues and fireplaces and a turf that can be used for a pick up game of soccer or football. Keep in mind that there are no restrooms at Indian Rock Park and that the park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
