Check Out Books and Community-Wide Events at the Lafayette Library, a Public Facility Near Lafayette Oaks
February 22, 2016 | sack
The Lafayette Library is one of the largest and most ornate in the area, which makes it a wonderful resource for adults and families alike. While the library is a great place to check out books, it's equally well-loved for its assortment of community-wide activities that are open to Lafayette Oaks residents and other Lafayette locals.
If you have children, Lafayette Library's activities and reading times throughout the week will keep them occupied. Parents may also enjoy that this library is also within walking-distance from many of Lafayette’s elementary schools, making it an easy after-school activity for families. Older kids looking for a quiet place to study can rent out one of the quiet study rooms for up to two hours, while a separate teen area is also available. Be sure to explore the sunny courtyard if the kids have a little bit too much energy, and then move on to the historical museum where an antique fire truck is on display. The kiddos will also get a kick out of the hands-on science and art discovery room.
Unlike many libraries, the Lafayette Library and Learning Center is open seven days a week.
