Explore the Natural Scenery at Dinosaur Hill Park
April 14, 2016 | sack
Dinosaur Hill Park isn’t your typical park, offering wide, open spaces instead of the typical playgrounds. If you’re looking for a secluded spot—perhaps for a proposal or romantic picnic—this park is probably right up your alley. There’s a great lookout to catch fireworks or a beautiful sunset, and it also makes a perfect spot to lounge in the sun with a good book.
Like a good thrill? Many say the “abandoned haunted house” is worth the hike at Dinosaur Hill Park. Regulars say it was meant to be a two-story home, but the stairs were never completed — and the boarded up windows and doors add to the creepy factor. Photographers might get a kick out of using the house as a backdrop for a photo shoot, if so inclined. The stunning, natural scenery is also worth the little hike if you choose to walk up the hill. Grassy meadows and views of the city make for a perfect quiet moment at this popular local landmark.
