Orinda’s traditional July 4th festivities began with the Orinda Association back in the early 1980s as a way to celebrate Independence Day, as well as their wonderful community. Thousands of citizens gather on this special day to watch the Orinda 4th of July Parade, as well as a wide variety of other events and activities featured throughout the day.

On Monday, July 4, 2016, the annual Pancake Breakfast will kick off the festivities at 7:30 a.m., and the Flag-raising Ceremony at Flagpole in front of Community Center will follow at 7:55 am. Orinda’s annual 4th of July Parade begins at exactly 10:00 a.m. in front of the Wells Fargo Bank on Moraga Way. The parade, which features tons of members of the community, will end on Orinda Way. Following the parade, there will be activities for all ages, live music, food, games, and booths in the park.
