The Lindsay Wildlife Experience has been one of Walnut Creek’s most vibrant educational institutions since its origins in the 1950s. Today, The Lindsay Wildlife Experience hosts over a hundred thousand visitors every year, many of them school children, in an attempt to enrich locals’ understanding of California’s many forms of native wildlife.
The museum is most famous for its spectacular birds of prey, including eagles, falcons, hawks, and vultures all on live display to delight visitors. In fact, it’s not unusual to look above one of the glass cases inside the museum and see a live owl sitting on top, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. Other attractions include a bee colony, petting zoo, and reptile house, which means there’s plenty of wildlife to keep you busy exploring for several hours.
Tickets to The Lindsay Wildlife Experience start at $8.50, with discounts for seniors and children.
