Bourbon Highway Boasts Dozens of Whiskies for You to Try

When you want to enjoy a stiff drink, hearty American comfort food, and live music, Walnut Creek has a new option for you. It's called Bourbon Highway, and the eatery/bar/music venue debuted about two months ago on Main Street. Its industrial-chic aesthetic and line-up of live country musicians make Bourbon Highway worth a visit.

When you come for a show, kick off your evening by grabbing a craft cocktail from the bar. The Texas Tea features bourbon, lime, ginger, and cane sugar, but if you prefer rye, try the Stage Coach with rye whiskey, lemon, maple syrup, egg white, and bitters. Bartenders also pour beer, wine, and straight shots of top-shelf whiskey from a lengthy list. Pair your chosen libation with snacks like soft pretzels and fried pickles, a sandwich or salad, or an entree such as the grass-fed Angus beef burger or the slow-roasted baby back ribs with spicy slaw.
